The Challenge
・ Their multilingual support was insufficient to handle the rapid increase in inbound tourism demand.
・ They faced a shortage of bilingual talent and intensifying competition for recruitment.
・ Strengthening their multilingual sales teams in resort and metropolitan areas was an urgent priority, but they lacked in-house visa and recruitment expertise.
How We Helped
・ From their 86 directly-managed stores, we focused on dispatching staff to locations with high inbound traffic: Shibuya, Sapporo, Niseko, Tomamu, Kyoto, Naha, and Ishigaki.
・ To meet each area's demand, we introduced candidates with skills in multiple languages (Chinese, Korean, English) and some with influencer experience.
・ Our multinational recruitment coordinators considered cultural backgrounds to improve matching accuracy.
・ We provided total support, including visa acquisition assistance, brand training, and employee retention follow-up.
The key to this project was dispatching global talent who deeply understood the culture and preferences of each region. Our multinational recruitment coordinators leveraged their deep cross-cultural understanding and expertise to select the ideal candidates for each location. We prioritized not only language skills but also the empathy and cross-cultural competency needed to ensure smooth communication with customers.
We also strengthened our post-hiring follow-up system to support employee retention and performance. By combining a talent strategy tailored to regional characteristics and customer needs with the knowledge of our multinational coordinators, we guided the client's inbound strategy to success. We will continue to support our clients' global expansion from a human resources perspective.
