Press Releases
We are pleased to announce that our President and CEO, Ryuji Yamagata, has been awarded the "Commander in the Order of the Crown" by the Kingdom of Belgium.
The decoration ceremony was held on September 25, 2025, in a warm atmosphere at the official residence of the Belgian Ambassador to Japan in Tokyo, in the presence of His Excellency Ambassador Antoine Evrard.
This prestigious award recognizes Mr. Yamagata's long-standing contributions to the development of economic relations between our two countries, demonstrated by our continued investment in Belgium since the establishment of our European headquarters, Yamagata Europe, in 1998. The award stands as a testament to this enduring friendship, which was also highlighted on April 25 of this year when Ambassador Evrard visited our company to express his gratitude for our many years of investment in Belgium.

The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Dirk De Ruyver, Representative of Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) in Japan. From our company, Geert Benoit, a director at Yamagata Europe who was visiting Japan on business, also attended to share in this honor. The solemn investiture, heartfelt speeches, and subsequent dinner created a truly unforgettable and precious experience.
This honor is a source of pride not only for Ryuji Yamagata personally but also for the entire Yamagata Europe team that supports our business in Belgium and for all employees of the YAMAGATA Group.
YAMAGATA Corporation is greatly encouraged by this award and remains committed to contributing to the further development of friendship, economic ties, and cultural exchange between Japan and the Kingdom of Belgium.
